Civil and Commercial Mediation
Civil and commercial mediation can be used as a conflict resolution strategy for any dispute between 2 or more persons (excluding those disputes pertaining to Family matters).
Why Mediate instead of Litigate?
The participants of the mediation process retain full control and agreements can be made that satisfy respective interests. When opting to litigate the Court may determine an outcome based on points of Law and interests may not be considered.
The process is much quicker (initial contact to settlement/resolution can be completed in just a few weeks).
Costs are substantially lower.
Relationships can be preserved.
The process is completely private and all participants sign up to a confidentiality agreement.
Workplace Mediation
Conflict in the workplace is a fact of life. The hierarchical and task-based nature of many organisations means that conflict at some point is inevitable. People disagree, it’s in our nature, but left unresolved, workplace conflict can escalate into a very costly dispute.
