TiO Strategy is a small, boutique, mediation consultancy. With a passion for mediation, we aim to assist you in providing a cost effective, personable and simple alternative to litigation.
We understand that disputes can be stressful enough and so we offer a clear pathway to resolution. At TiO Strategy we believe the key to unlocking areas of conflict is Talking it Over. We are truly flexible and don’t believe in the pursuit of ‘right and wrong’. It is your dispute – our mission is to provide the tools to facilitate your resolution

Why Mediation?

Mediation is a firmly established form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) meaning that solutions are formed by way of mutually satisfactory agreements between participants rather than by a judgement of a Court. With litigation becoming ever more costly and time consuming, those locked in dispute are now commonly looking for different ways to obtain a resolution.

The mediation process is completely confidential and participants retain autonomy in decision making for their own outcomes, with the mediator simply acting as a facilitator to this process. The mediator remains natural and impartial and will not seek to establish who is ‘right or wrong’.
Typically, the mediation process can take between 4 and 8 hours depending on the nature of the dispute. However, like all parts of the process the time limits are governed by you. Whilst being based in London, TiO Strategy are able to provide mediation services on a nationwide basis.

Sam Harden

Sam is the founder, director and principal mediator within TiO Strategy. She has over 8 years business experience working within the insurance industry, in both underwriting and senior strategic development roles, for both Lloyds of London and Company Markets. She has extensive experience in working with some of the largest UK developers and legal real estate teams using innovative insurance solutions to facilitate risk transfer. 
During her time in the insurance industry Sam has been involved in the mediation process and so she has first hand experience of how useful it can be.
Education

Sam studied for a BA (Hons) in Business Law before undertaking a MSc. in International Business and Finance. Sam is also a fully qualified and accredited mediator for both Civil & Commercial and Workplace disputes.
